Edit the timeline

Set In and Out, split clips and use snapping.

Use the timeline to keep the useful part of a video and split a file into sections.

Set In and Out

  1. Move the playhead to the start point and click In.
  2. Move the playhead to the end point and click Out.

Split a clip

  1. Select the Blade tool or press B.
  2. Click the cut point, or choose Timeline > Split at Playhead (⌘B).
  3. Select each section to set its orientation, field of view and 3D settings separately.

Use snapping

Turn on Snapping (N) to snap the playhead, cuts and edges to useful points. Turn it off for a free cut.
